Fresh 2018 6×6

This painting is tiny. Like really tiny. I was looking at this picture of a beautiful woman, and I was going to paint her realistically, but let’s be honest – any half competent painter can do a decent job of a portrait that’s 6″by6″. It’s not that fucking difficult. But no. I had to make it hard for myself and paint her with massive brush strokes and be all expressive and not literal. 15 years of painting and I’m doing shit like this.
